Music has been an important part of my life, and indeed my identity, since I first discovered Venom in the mid 1980's. Soon after I bought my first bass guitar. We were a loose group of friends jamming together in the Flatåsen area in the southern part of Trondheim. In the beginning there was no fixed bands. Just friends playing together in various changing constellations.
In time this evolved into bands like Stigma Diabolicum, and later Thorns. A band that has been foundational in what was to become the Norwegian Black Metal scene.
I parted ways with Thorns in 1992, but kept playing in other bands. In 1996 I formed Frost along with two friends I had met through the university of Trondheim. This later became Imbalance which is active to this day.
